IT TAKES A GREAT TEAM OF PEOPLE TO MAKE A SIMULATION CENTER SUCCESSFUL.
The staff team makes the day to day activities of the center happen. From planning and developing events to execution, evaluation, and assessment, our operational team brings the conceptual to fruition.
The Steering Council is comprised of clinical faculty and administrators across UCM and BSD to provide input in the evaluation process of educational and scholarship proposals, equipment purchasing, and overall representation of simulation within a number of departments across UC. The interdisciplinary Steering Council reports to the Faculty Director and serves as a vehicle to receive and disseminate information to leaders in graduate medical education, the medical school, nursing, and administration. The Council also serves a governance function for our ACS accreditation by discussing new project proposals and making recommendations for education and scholarship activities.
The UC Simulation Center serves the whole of the University of Chicago - the hospital, Biological Sciences Division, Medical School, and all associated departments. Our executive sponsors resonate this high level integration through the tasking of annual deliverables to our center and providing a body to which the center reports to the institution.
