Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Overview

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics.  The goal of the PALS course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

UC Employees:

Full Provider Course – $175

Recertification – $135

How to Pay

To guarantee a seat, payment must be received two (2) weeks prior to your scheduled course date.  Failure to submit payment at this time will result in the automatic cancellation of your scheduled course.

How to Obtain Course Materials

Books will not be included with the registration cost for the PALS course.

*PALS Provider Manuals are held at the Circulation Desk at Crerar Library, not the stacks.  Please ask at the Circulation Desk to request a book. You will need a University of Chicago employee or student ID card.
